1. The sex worker I talked to was not Indian.

2. My point was not for me to document her lived experience. It is about getting to a point where people from different walks of life can comfortably talk about the uncomfortable realities of each other's lives as a way to learn about other people different from them. A sex worker might not be able to get say a job that might affect change but if his/her experience is shared with, say a government official (not that I am one), and that official is able to empathize and understand the sex worker's reality , that official will have a much greater motivation to push for changes that will have meaningful change in improving the lives of those people.

I don't really care for outside validation other than being able to talk to and learn about the realities of people in my community whether they are better off or worse off than me.
