I've always seen the various forms of gross objectification of pretty women by men and I guess I might just have looked at it as evidence of men acting out the unruly desires towards these women. But the resentment perspective, that's new and when I think of it, I think you are very right. Maybe its not just about acting on unruly desires. Maybe deep seated resentment plays a role in this too. This is an area I'm going to read and get more informed about.
