The Meaning I Attach To Being Brave
And what I would do if I were my bravest self
I keep breaking one of the most important promises I made to myself when I first moved into a new office space at the beginning of this year.
The promise was my attempt to be more social. Call it fate or coincidence, but when I made that promise, the first test came in form of an attendant in the next door shop.
And I guess this is one of the first acts of bravery most people have to overcome. Before I even tried to find out what she is is like, I needed to first speak to her.
Am getting there… But it is still paralyzing. Besides, I have only known her for about 2 weeks before this so we are practically strangers.
Do you notice that…. That justification that I just came up with.
Such is the nature of most of the things that require a little bit of bravery from me.
But if I were to embrace my bravest self, this is is what I would do.
Record my music
I have been composing songs from the age of about 16 years old and after 12 years of doing that, I have about 200 drafts that I have composed. For me, composing my own music was my way of internalizing complex musical ideas.
