Why would you say things like this? You really want to compare the horrors and trauma of child brides to the experiences of being black? I do not have an affinity to these groups or any other groups. I want to relate with people on a human level not clusters. Would it have been better if I had used a rich billionaire to try and convey my message instead? Would you have taken it serious? I am not young. I am also not an oppressed black man. Even if I were not a black man, I should be able to write about the need to understand other people's realities as a means of change. As a black man, I should be able to talk about this without you making an assumption that I am oppressed. Of course I have met with some hostility because of my identity but that is not what I am talking about here. People don't always need affinities to care.
